The Attorney General's Office of the State of Oaxaca has carried out an operation with the participation of the State Agency of Investigations, the Secretariat of National Defense, the National Guard, the Secretariat of Public Security of Veracruz, and the Attorney General's Office of the State of Veracruz in different areas of Veracruz to locate Sandra Domínguez and Alexander Hernández, who have been missing for 16 days. The victims' vehicle and Sandra Domínguez's phone have been secured during the operation.

The FGEO has managed to recover Sandra Domínguez's cell phone, a lawyer and ayuuk activist who went missing on October 4 along with her husband, Alexander, in María Lombardo del Caso, Oaxaca. This recovery has taken place as part of the search work for the defender in the state of Veracruz. During the operation, a man was arrested to determine if he is related to the couple's disappearance.

The Attorney General's Office reported that, through criminal intelligence work in collaboration with the National Anti-Kidnapping Coordination of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, a point has been georeferenced in the locality of Nigromante, Veracruz, allegedly linked to the whereabouts of Sandra Domínguez and Alexander Hernández, whose search has been expanded to include this new location.

Relatives and activists have requested international help to expedite the search and locate Sandra Domínguez and Alexander Hernández as soon as possible, while waiting for the investigations to provide more information about this case of disappearance.
